converting latent energy in American Christianity into active energy

When Bob Buford wrote the book Halftime, he had no idea he was creating a label for something people all over the world were feeling - that sense of restlessness, a feeling that there is more to life than creating wealth and material success.  In fact, the concept resonated so much with businesses and professional leaders that Bob was urged to create an avenue for those who wanted to take the "next step."  In 1998, with the counsel of Peter Drucker, Bob responded by founding Halftime, the organization.

The Halftime Group, originally known as FaithWorks, was focused on serving those in Halftime through a one-day event called the Halftime Summit.  These events were commonly hosted by individuals in a community with a passion to reach their peers with the Halftime message.  These events were often held outside the local church.

Now under the Leadership Network umbrella, The Halftime Group provides various services including but not limited to:

Services

Events

Coaching

The Director of the Halftime Group is Lloyd Reeb.  Ten years ago Lloyd made a Halftime transition from real estate development into ministry.  For the past five years he has dedicated part of his time to leading Halftime workshops across the country with Bob Buford.  In addition, he allocates part of his time to a pastoral role at Mecklenburg Community Church, a large church in Charlotte, NC with primary responsibility for leadership development.  In the role he has had the opportunity to personally coach many individuals in Halftime.

Lloyd brings a passion for Halftime, and a commitment to each ministry's success.  Lloyd has written the next book in the Halftime series, From Success to Significance: Halftime for the Not So Rich, to be released by Zondervan in August 2004 addressing the Halftime needs of people who are not financially independent but still desire to pursue significance in the second half of their lives.

Halftime, by its nature, is a journey - it is not an event or a decision.  Woven into the very fabric of everything Halftime does is an understanding of this process.  Join the journey yourself, and explore all that Halftime has to offer!
